Cyclist house climbers: Lokki automation makes the user experience ultra-simple!

My name is Adrien, and I've been working at Grimpeurs Cycliste House since March 2022. I'm in charge of rentals, workshops and indoor training.

Tell us your story!

Grimpeurs Cycliste House is a concept store. We have 4 home trainer bikes available for 1.5-hour sessions, with the Zwift app.

We also have a restaurant, a store with bike accessories, some nutrition, and bike clothing (with a second-hand offer). As we have a partnership with the Canyon brand, we provide after-sales service, maintenance and servicing for this brand, which only distributes its bikes online.

Of course, we also have a rental area, with a fleet of road and gravel bikes, as well as some mountain bikes, electric bikes and gravel bikes.

We opened the rental department for several reasons:

➡️ for tourists visiting Lyon and the surrounding area.

The challenge of

Rentals account for the lion's share of our business at the height of the season, from April to the end of September. It accounts for 1/5 of sales.

It's very important for profitability, because we only offer services, so we don't make much money from sales. But we needed to professionalize our service. 

At first, I used a simple Excel file that I'd built myself, but it was home-made and not at all practical for my colleagues when I wasn't around. Above all, we didn't have any flexibility for our customers: we had to block bike returns at the start of the day, for example.

I chose Lokki because I had seen that my direct competitors were using it, and I found it super simple for customers. We've saved an enormous amount of time on day-to-day management. Everything is simplified thanks to dematerialization: rental contracts can be drawn up online, an automatic e-mail is sent to receive Google reviews... In-store management is ultra-simple for us. Since we set it up, from the 2nd or 3rd month onwards, we've had the highest rental figures since we opened, and we've collected a dozen Google reviews thanks to our marketing automation. A far cry from a simple Excel file!
